So, that means that this forum has in excess of 1000 years of experience to draw upon. Quite amazing when I stop to think about it.
I only posted it originally as idle speculation
I will re- post the query in 50 and then in 100 years time

My 42+ years of chromatography experience ends tomorrow. I am retiring to engage in freshwater piscine retrieval. Thanks to all of the posters and for the replies that were both educational and amusing
