Hi all,

I am quite confused about the definition of MS (in LC/MS). Some vendors give different MS resolution of their instruments. So what is the general rule about this issue?

Anyone knows how to convert the 'full width half max' resolution to 10% (or 5%) resolution? I trying to work it out but not resultful yet.

I'm not sure that 10% resolution makes sense when looking at the resolution of mass peaks, which will frequently be of very uneven sizes. One of the references cited by previous posters mentions this, I think (or check latest printed edition of LC-GC).
