Dear All,

This is the first time that I meet this problem.
I have the following problem: I switch on my instrument (Agilent 6890 N ) and the PC
connected to the instrument and I open the ChemStation Instrument 1 software.
This software was not open and I see the following message given as an error:
"Autostart macro failed, error # 16289 "So, I would like to ask what kind of error I made?
How can I resolve this challenge? Please try to answer!!I saw a problem like this on this forum
posted on 2010 but there is no answer!!

Hi
It may be your the chemstation has a corrupted data path name. Try googling autostart error, there is a couple of .pdf from Agilent that relate to altering the data paths in win.ini file.

Just sent this to a customer of mine:

Close your Chemstation session,
Windows Start,
Agilent Chemstation > Configuration editor
(opens in a new window)
Configure > Paths...
(opens a new window)
(look at sequence files path, should be C:\Chem32\1\sequence\)
(look at data files path, should be C:\Chem32\1\data\)

Best regards,
