Controlling a Valco Micro Electric Valve with a 5890II GC

I'm trying to use the 5890II Valve PCB to control one Valco Microelectronic valve (2-position). I'm using Chemstation b04.03. Is this possible? I'm not sure of the pin outs on the 5890II and if they are compatible with the contact closure control of the Valco valve.

I do not think that it is possible to control the valve directly from the 5890. The 5890 uses 120Volt control for solenoids that control air to valve actuators. You would need to use a 120Volt relay and use the switch contacts to actuate the valve. Normally the micro-actuator needs two sets of contacts, one to turn clockwise and the other to turn counter-clockwise. However, it is possible to program the actuator so that only one set of contacts are needed. You would then need to turn Valve 1 On and then Off to turn it in one direction and then Valve 1 On and Off again to turn the valve back to the original position.

Hi Gasman,
The time delay is workable. I did find my old copy of the service manual showing the 6 pin connector allowing 120V for two valves and the aux heater.
The relay will have to do. Thanks much for the help.
