There is an Application Note available:
AN-U-052 Transition metal cations applying UV/VIS detection after post-column reaction with PAR (4-(2-pyridylazo)resorcinol)
For conductivity detection also oxalic acid or mixtures of nitric and oxalic acids may be used (single digit mmol/L range).
