Hi chromatographers!

I would like to calculate alpha and Rs for 250mm column length from measured values on the same 150 mm column. Is it possible and how?
Thanks!

You need to do some basic reading on chromatographic theory.
Try these:
http://www.shu.ac.uk/schools/sci/chem/t ... chrom1.htm
http://www.lcresources.com/resources/getstart/
http://www.forumsci.co.il/HPLC/program.html

If you read them correctly, you should find that, other things being equal, alpha should be independent of column length and that R should be a function of plate numbers (N). If you figure out how many plates you have based on your R for the 150mm column, calculating the R for 250mm should be pretty easy.

I've provided a couple of eggs, I'll leave the omlette making to you.
