Hexavalent Chromium in Plastics

We routinely analyse for Cr6 in soil samples (alkaline digestion) and glass samples (sulphuric acid/ammonium hydrogen fluoride digestion) but have recently received some plastic samples (probably PE) for analysis.

Anybody know of a digestion method?

Otherwise I guess we'll just use one of the above methods and report "digestion solution leachable" values.
