Derivatistion of organotins

Does anyone analyse organotins (tributyltin, tripropyltin etc.)?

I'd love to hear any practical tips on improving the derivatisation (ethylation) process.

I’m sorry but I have not experience with tributyltin. I have only information because I will analize it in the future.

Sorry for my english

What kind of samples? Waters, sediments or biota?
Ethylation with sodium tetraethylborate works very well, but you have to adjust the pH. If you don't use the right pH range the derivatization will not work properly. Use a sodium acetate/acetic acid buffer at a pH between 5.0 and 5.3.
